Gianni Gagliardo Barolo Chinato

Gianni Gagliardo Barolo Chinato
Barolo Chinato is an Italian herbal “Digestivo” similar to amaro, yet substantially better given its base is certified DOCG Barolo wine, which is blended with different herbs and spices. The Gagliardo Family’s Chinato is unique in that they steep up to 13 different spices including orange peel, cardamom and cloves in the grappa made from their highest quality Barolo. The flavored grappa is then aged for 2 years in barrels. After the infusion is complete, it is filtered and added to the Barolo. Their Chinato is hand-crafted and the recipe is a secret.
