In the heart of the Roero, a few kilometers from Alba, Azienda Agricola Pioiero, formerly a part of the old feudal estates of Count Alessandro of Roero Guarene, lies in a fertile valley between the hills. The winery has been owned by the Rabino family since 1968, first by Ernesto, and now run by his son Antonio, who along with several family members oversee every aspect of cultivation and production.
Location of Vineyards
The entire estate of “Cascina Pioiero” is a beautiful curved south-west facing vineyard which sits on a 12 acre ridge located just across the Tanaro River from Barolo in the Roero Commune. For this reason, these Arneis wines have earned the nickname “Barolo Bianco” (white Barolo).
Pioiero integrates traditional methods with modern technologies, designed to achieve the best quality with respect for the environment.
